One year of blogging

reflecting on year one and dusting off cameras for year two

Listen, it’s been a while since I’ve written here and I can bore you with excuses or I can just pretend like I’ve been here all along and tell you about what I wanna talk about.

I say it as if you have a choice lol😂 I’ll just get on with it!

It’s been a year since imara was born you guys! I am literally tearing up as I think about it. In that year, I’ve blogged in sooo many cities. I went to Cape Town, Simon’s Town, Cederberg, Ceres, Johannesburg, Durban, The Drakensburg Mountains, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Atlanta, New York, New Jersey and all the way back home to Dar es salaam. I even had a chance to visit my family in Tanga and Kilimanjaro.

I have enjoyed every minute of the year including the bitter moments (Lord knows there were many). I made a little photo story here for you guys but you can also stalk me on Instagram @berniemshana to view the images in context.

Love you lots.

Love, this is a life, not a lifestyle blog. You’ll find here tales of my clothes making, intentional living, chai drinking, feminist thinking Afrikan life. Welcome, and read on.
